Take Me To Spade!

On a cold February day,

our illustrated Ooh La Frou Frou City Girl
Sunny

found herself craving a little color

in place of the wintry branches that she looked down at
from her kitchen apartment window in the luxurious
Mark Hotel.
Her morning juice simply
made her think of sunshine.

Always one to have a theme song of the day,
on this cold February morning,
the song Sunny had running through her head was ...



and as much as she loved the city,
the song made her wish to be swept away for the day
to a land of swaying palms and tropical breezes ...

A little color infusion would certainly help ...

And Sunny knew just who to call on to
bring a little color to a winter day ...
so she hailed a cab and headed straight for ...


On the ride over, she felt a little Bryce Howard thing happening ...
maybe she should look for a little hot hot pink ...

 

And when she arrived at Kate Spade,
she found the perfect solution to chase away the
winter blues!
After all, isn't a store that invites us to
Play Hooky,
Eat Cake for Breakfast
and
Skirt the Rules
just right for a winter's day?

Since Sunny was feeling like she wanted to hop a ship,
she found the perfect solution ...
she'd start with an
All Aboard Ship Clutch

... and she'd add something that simply said
"summer breezes" ...

... because by this time she almost certainly
had decided that today she'd do this ..

If you decide to do the same, be sure to
drop a line or send a picture postcard
back home ...

When Sunny had her treasures
tucked safely in a Kate Spade New York bag
and walked back out onto the city street,
she felt much more like summer had almost arrived.

A Tiara Monday

You may remember
that I mentioned in the first post of this new year
that occasionally there may be weeks
in which my Ooh La Frou Frou posts 

would appear
on another day of the week
besides Monday,
depending upon my illustration schedule ...
 
... BUT that if that happened,
I would always let you know, of course,
via Twitter and Facebook ...
well, this is one of those weeks!
And since this is the first time I've switched weekdays,
I'm just leaving a little note here as well.
