Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice

Hello Darlings ... Cherie here!
Are these not the most adorable
mini-fashionistas
you've ever seen?

These sweet-as-sugar images are courtesy of
Layla Grayce
(the place where you can find darling
tutus, ruffly petticoats and more for little sweatpeas)
and were the perfect images
to embellish with the title of our post
"Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice!"
Girls were just made for
beautiful things ...
even the tiniest of us!

The idea for this post came to me
while I was preparing for a photoshoot in the city recently.
If you're new to the blog,
you may not know that I am the
Ooh La Frou Frou girl that is a fashion model,
and on this particular day,
I was getting my make-up and hair done for the shoot ...

I normally sit with my eyes closed
just relaxing while my hair is styled
and my makeup gets professionally perfect.
On this day, I looked about me
at the beautiful brushes in the make-up artist's hands
and at the counter laden with
all of the lovely acoutrement that is pure femininity
and suddenly felt very thankful
that I'd been born a girl.

Sugar and Spice
and
All Things Nice.
As I sat there
feeling the soft brush on my face,
and warm air of the hair dryer,
I thought about what would be
in this fun category of
"All Things Nice."

I think
"All Things Perfume"
would fall into this category for sure!
Walking through a spritz
of your favorite perfume
can be a very "scent-sual"
experience!

And then there would definitely be  ...
"All things Sparkly and Bright"

And there would most certainly be
"All things Soft and Feathery"

Of course, included in the list would be
"All Things Tulle, Lace and Ruffles"

About this time,
the hairstylist's voice saying that my hair was finished
interrupted my daydreaming.
The makeup artist put her tools away
and a couture gown was held out
for me to step into
so that I could head out to the cameras
waiting for me on the city streets.

I reached for a beautiful fluffy powder puff,
dipped it into perfumed powder
and whisked it over my body
just before stepping into the gown
and I thought ...
the "All Things Nice" list
simply must include
"All Things Powder Puffs!"
This vintage Parisian powder puff
from the 1920's is so cute!

My pal, Ooh La Frou Frou girl Aimee
introduced me to the most
luxurious Parisian powder puffs
from The Parisian Apartment Boutique.
I just have to tell you about them!
A must-have for your dressing table if you want to feel
luxuriously glamorous!!

The gorgeous pink puff below is from
The Paris Apartment Boutique.
These puffs are 100% handmade in Paris
from delicate goose down.  They retail for $98
and can be purchased with or without a wand.
They are described as the cherry on top for any diva's dressing table!

For a less-pricey puff, the powder puffs below have wands
that are filled with sparkly powder to make your skin glisten.
The pink, black and white puffs on wands are from
Fresh Beauty Studio ($13 each).
The purple glitter puff is from Allesandro and retails for $20

The puffs below from Wake Up Frankie look like real powder puffs
but they're actually 12" powder puff pillows!
So cute for a dressing room chair!

If you like the idea of the big puffs for fun,
Faire Frou Frou
makes a gorgeous medium (12" $110) and large (18" $225)
puff made of maribou!

It's been fun, girls, chatting about
all of the sparkles, tulle, perfume and powder puffs
I'd add to my "All Things Nice" list ...
what girl doesn't want a little sparkle ...
After all,
who doesn't want to look simply unforgettable
as they peer from a limousine?
What would you add to the list?
