FLIPINISTA™ Illustrated

We all love glamour ...

via Dustjacket Attic

We adore things that are feminine ...

Valentino

... things that are sparkly ...

... things that are stylish ...

... things that are chic ...

Then there are shoes ...
we all know that a pair of heels are glamorous.
But, if you're like me, you don't want to
sacrifice glamour each time you're not in heels.

I was recently commissioned
by the lovely Monique,
designer of a very glamorous
brand of flip flops,
to create an illustration for
FLIPINISTA ...
(c) SANDY M Illustration for FLIPINISTA

The blonde on the right
is the illustrated version of Monique!

As I was researching all of the
beautiful FLIPINISTA
designs in preparation for the illustration,
I was stunned by these gorgeous
works of art for our feet ...
these are certainly NOT ordinary flip flops ...
they're more like haute couture.
I wanted to be sure to introduce them to you.

The flip flops are made for FLIPINISTA in Brazil
of the finest rubber
and then they are personally
hand-designed by Monique,
one pair at a time by hand!
She wires the design on and then has them
sewn by an expert, using a special technique
so the wearer will never feel the embellishments.
Each pair is made upon order and each design
is a Limited edition.
I think they are all of the things we like ...
feminine, sparkly, stylish and chic!

Following are just a few of the
gorgeous FLIPINISTA designs ...

  11. I do indeed...love glamour, femininity, stylish chic...gorgeous images...my daughter would adore the Chanel flip flop; I'm going to pop across and follow Monique on Twitter, thank you for the introduction.
Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. Yoga has changed my life; one of the main benefits it has brought to my life is an inner calm; I am a born worrier and by regularly practicing this wonderful philosophy I have quietened my mind. I think initially, Sandy you need to find a teacher, it takes awhile to find the right one for you and I would suggest if you can have a one to one class you gain so much more from your time as a beginner. I recommend Christy Turlington's Living Yoga book; it's inspiring and full of good advice...enjoy, keep me posted on your yoga journey.
    Namaste,

  23. Haha, ok maybe I'm not really feeling the glamorous flip flops...flip flops are still casual shoes in my mind. But those dresses...stunning. Especially that first one with the gold trim around the sleeves. Gorgeous!!
