A Post by Belle ... Romance, Romance

Hello, Lovelies ... Belle here!
For everyone that's new to the blog,
I'm the Ooh La Frou Frou girl that's a
So sit yourself down and let's chat a bit about

I love everything about Romance, don't you?
When people say we shouldn't put so much stock in
Romantic Love,
as it sets us up for disappointment,
I say "well, why not, for goodness sake?"
That's like saying
"don't bother looking for that perfect career ...
you'll only be disappointed ... don't shoot for the stars."
I beg to differ.
Sometimes you just have to look harder to find it,
choose the one that thrills you and makes you feel alive,
and then keep it exciting once you find it
by looking at each day as if it's brand new.
And I say don't settle for anything less.

Open your heart's window and be ready to fly.

I'm setting out to find someone
that aspires to have a lifelong Romance ...
with me!

Needless to say, because I'm such a fan of Romance,
my favorite movies are romantic comedies.
(surprised, are you?)
I like nothing better than curling up
with a cup of cocoa on a chilly night with a charmer like this.

Bridget Jones Diaries
or heading out with a girlfriend to see something like this ...

or watching any of these again ... for starters!
And as for real Romance,
I wouldn't want to miss one little part of it.

From the moment you share that long glance
across a crowded room ...

to the simply electrified magic in the air
when you find yourself days later
still thinking about him.

A new Romance is deliciously fun.
And its made even more magical because
you never know where you'll meet that someone.

Maybe you just set out to take an innocent walk
on a beautiful day ... and so does he ...
(that's why I say be ready for destiny at all times)

... or maybe you meet the love of your life
when you share a taxi to the other side of the city
and the handsome stranger you rode with
hands you his number as you start to get out.

However you meet, one day there will be a first date with him.
And what is more exciting than preparing for a
romantic evening out!
It's the ritual we women just love.
A perfumed bath,
silky lingeree,
picking out just the right sparkly dress
and which shade of lipstick to wear ...
I even love the butterflies I get
at the thought of an evening with him ...

A darling blog we love, called Paris in Pink,
often features perfume commercials
among many other fun things.
I thought this one that she shared recently
fit in perfectly with our little talk of Romance ...
thank you for showing us a Parisian commercial, Paris in Pink!

What kind of man am I looking for, you ask?
Well, let me tell you.
I want a man that makes me tingle to my toes ...

I want a man who believes playing doesn't stop with childhood
and knows how to make me laugh ...

I want a man who is a romantic himself,
one that leaves me little surprises when I least expect them...

I want a man with integrity, who will be there for me
even when the days aren't sunny.

Come to think of it ...
I wonder if the gorgeous Old Spice guy,
Isaiah Mustafa,
is available?

(actually, she's saying "nananananana" in my other ear as we speak!) Seriously, all eight of us and the artist are laughing and know you love us all, as we do all of you! xo

Paris in Pink: Thanks beautiful Paris in Pink! And thank you for showing us that fabuuuulous romantic perfume video -- just love it and I'm sure everyone is enjoying watching!

Pink Champagne: Oooh, too bad we can't watch a few girl movies together! Maybe I'll have to post a "girl movie night" on the blog sometime and see which movies everyone will be bringing!

Taj Acosta: You get teary-eyed in those commercials TOO? I feel better that I'm not the only one! xoxo

Skinni Peach: Thank you darling ... we would love for you to post about the blog and cards anytime you'd like! So sweet of you to think of maybe doing so sometime!

Sandy, what a fun and perfect post to remind us all that if we've ever doubted finding love, not to despair. Love is something that is truly amazing, life changing and oh, so powerful. Your images are lovely - I adore all of the films you listed. Again, yet another fantastic post. (I apologize for not commenting as regularly - I do so appreciate your beautiful attitude, kindness and wonderful work.) Have a great week. :)

Sweet post and it is true...real love will find a heart that is open.

Wonderful post Sandy. How long does it take you to conjure up such wonderful posts?
Well as the saying goes, "if you haven't loved you haven't lived". I attest to that ;-)
Funnily enough watched Bridget Jones again last night. It's really very heartwarming.
LOVE Aimee (I can no longer be loyal to any one frou frou girl because they are ALL so divine).
p.s will you be making any special cards for Christmas?

Sandy at Ooh La Frou Frou said...

Little love notes to from Belle to Glamorous Girlfriends:

Julie (brown eyed belle)Ooooh, Julie, I LOVE that we're so much alike! Wish we could see these movies together ... maybe one day I'll have a girlfriend's movie night on the blog! (I know ... Old Spice Guy is dreammmmmy!)

The Simply Luxurious Life: Thank you, darling! Your comments are always so appreciated ~ happy that you're blog & newsletters are so successful!

Kristin: A girl after my own heart ;)

Amy@MaisonDecor: Thanks, Amy, for visiting & commenting on my post -- I'm keeping my heart open!

Vanessa@Luxuria: Okay, several questions, so here are your answers, girlfriend!: Takes quite a while. First, we girls have to think up what we'll post on (fun research), then we have to let the artist know so we can put our heads together and she can illustrate for us. Then it's putting it all together till we all say "It's a wrap!" I'll let Aimee know that you LOVE her and I'm glad you think we're all divine! The artist will have a card or two coming out in mid-November for Christmas ... stayed tuned! (boxed cards not until next year)
