If Raindrops Were Dreams ... by Aimee

Bonjour Darlings ... it's Aimee.

We girls know how it goes ...
we look in the mirror before heading out for our day,
checking off on our internal list ...
Good hair day? Check.
Sultry eyes, lipstick moist? Check.
Perfume on pulse points? Check.

Then, our mouth drops open
(albeit very cutely, if I do say so myself)
when we open the door to find drizzle.
And I'm not talking about the delicious caramel kind.
Suddenly, looking glamorous by the watercooler
seems merely a lost dream.

Even though rainy days are not my favorite cup of tea ...

... they are the best workdays,
the best days for a nap or a matinee,
and are lovely for reflecting,
sitting cozily inside the coffee shop,
enjoying a cappuccino.

If I am going to be walking in the rain,
I like to be protected and feel glamorous at the same time!
Did you know that Ooh La Frou Frou
is always busy dreaming up darling items
to feature Ooh La Frou Frou illustrations?
One of those sweet items is our
Ooh La Frou Frou City Girl Rainboot designs
that we've copyrighted for future creation under our name.
Aren't they fun?
They'll let let you "wear" your dream shoes in the rain!
Stay tuned ...

And it's so much more fun to face a rainy day
with a gorgeous umbrella.
You'll be so glamorously protected,
you may even look at a rainy day forecast
as nothing more than
"cloudy with the chance of daffodils" ...

Top to bottom:
Purple Daisy and Pink Gerbera (two versions)
and both Daisy umbrellas via;

I don't know about you,
but rainy days make me dreamy.
And, of course, my dreams are Paris dreams!
I dream of wandering in and out of the boutiques
along Champs-Elysees.
I dream of sitting outside at Parisian cafes,
watching people stroll by.
In my daydreams of walking in the rain in Paris,
even the raindrops are glamorous,
like diamonds, melting when they hit the ground!

I'm so excited to be starring in
Ooh La Frou Frou's
brand new blank card
called
Raindrop Dreams ...
the backdrop is Paris,
the umbrella is lined with pink glitter,
and the raindrops are diamonds ...
(well, ahem ... crystals).

This darling blank card comes with a
raspberry envelope lined in pink.
The inside of the card is lined with pink paper.
Inside message: blank
To order the sparkling Raindrop Dreams, simply go here.

If my raindrop dreams weren't diamonds,
what else would they be?
Well, they would definitely be dreams of
something born in Paris.
Perhaps they'd be Chanel and Dior handbags!
The featured umbrella below is by
Pasotti via
and is scattered with Swarovski crystals
(pssst .. like diamonds!)!

Or maybe my raindrop dreams would be
Miss Dior Cherie parfum and Chanel lipsticks!
The darling umbrella featured below
is by Lulu Guinness via
It has fishnet-inspired background and is scattered with
shoes and mirrors!

Or, since I love Laduree so much,
perhaps my raindrop dreams would be
miniature Eiffel Towers and macarons!
The umbrella featured below with
images of Paris is a Galleria Art Print umbrella via

If you haven't been to the
Laduree site recently, you simply must check out
the darling animation of the Laduree Paris store, here!

And if you're still longing for
more Paris dreams,
this video will whisk you away to Laduree ...
without the cost of airfare!

If raindrops were dreams, darling girlfriends,
what would your raindrops be?

Glitterista: Hi lovely ... if we made your Monday a little nicer, we've done our job! I love the Parisian umbrellas too ... the Parisian Poodle umbrella is SO cute! Thanks for stopping by, sweetie, and hope the rest of your Monday is mahvelous! xo

Raicreations Designs: Hello, darling. Thank you for your compliment on the rainboot design ... there are so many shoes and stockings that could be illustrated for them ... can't wait! Thanks for stopping by & leaving a comment, lovely. xo

Vanessa at Luxuria: I'd have to say that diamonds would probably be mine too! I'm curious as to which umbrellas were your favorites! I loved so many of them, it would be a very hard decision. Thanks, honey ~ it's forever a pleasure to chat with you xo

lovely post about rainy days.. I love the umbrella with the bow. I like Laduree but do you know that real "parisiens" prefer Pierre Herme's macaroons? ;) great illustrations.

Loving all your inspiration this week! That top image I used on my blog when the President won, just love it! And of course we are 2 of a kind because I love Pasotti umbrellas and have the black with the pink flower inside :) I've only been to the Laduree in London but dream of the day when I can sample it again in person! My raindrops would be a macaron in Paris over coffee with you!

Glamorous Whimsy: This is definitely the place to go for illustration cravings ;) Thanks, Poppy! xoxo

Stitchfork: Raspberry and Raindrops indeed! I have the raindrops outside today, but no raspberries ... I should buy a raspberry trench like Aimee perhaps! ;) xoxo

Ruby @ Ruby's Musings: So glad you come to dream with Ooh La Frou Frou, Ruby. We like to sweep all the girls away into a grown-up fairy tale! xoxo

Pink Champagne: I'm glad your mind drifted to Paris once again ... can't drift to Paris often enough! Thanks, lovely, for the compliment on the rainboots & I agree, the umbrellas are divine ... to decide on which one I like best would be difficult!

Leann @ Join The Gossip: Thank you, sweets, for the compliment on the rainboots .. so glad you like them! They'll be fun to have created. What I like best of all about the rain is the smell in the air afterward. You can smell the earth and the green ... mmmmm, wonderful! xoxo

Cupcake: I LOVE that description .. a mental holiday ... we all need one, don't we? Thanks for your compliments on the card and posts, sweet. Always love it when you drop by. xoxo

Designchic: I so agree, being in the studio with french doors when it's sunny outside makes it very hard to be productive but I accomplish so much when it's rainy. Do you know which umbrella you'd choose? I can't decide! xoxo

Aggie: Hi Aggie! Thanks, sweetie, for dropping by ... and for your compliment on the post ... we're so happy that you enjoyed it! xoxo

truer words have never been said "... they are the best workdays,
the best days for a nap or a matinee, and are lovely for reflecting, sitting cozily inside the coffee shop, enjoying a cappuccino". Being currently unemployed I look forward to rainy days because i get to do all that. This was not so much when i was working, i HATED rainy days, and getting soaked on my way to work and spending half the day dripping all over the office floor. I also have a TV show (that shall remain nameless because i will out myself as a geek) that i love to watch when its raining. Rain boots are also my favorite part of a rainy day, and these days you can get as stylish as you want with a perfect pair of rain boots.

PS: i linked to Sandy`s previous post on my "links you will enjoy" post, also apologies in advance for ripping an image from that post. http://stylemefab.onsugar.com/Links-you-enjoy-15736266 your link has actually been one of the most popular posts on that post.

Style Me Fab: First, thank you, darling, for placing a link and mentioning Ooh La Frou Frou on Style Me Fab. Truly appreciated!! And no apologies necessary on using the image, darling blogger buddy... we love the exposure! As for the rain, I am lucky that my studio is in a separate wing off the back of my house. It has a separate entrance so I walk out the door of my house with my coffee, take five steps and step into my studio, so I don't have to get very wet!! I know that I'm much more productive when it's rainy than when the sunshine looks so inviting through the three sets of french doors in my studio ... I love the sun so much, it makes it very hard to be a good girl!! Thanks so much for stopping by, sweet. P.S. Dying to know which show you watch ... I have a tv in my studio and probably watch the same thing ;)

Oh sweetie, you make rain look so so pretty!!! It's been raining so much here lately, April showers and all, that I've been dreading going outside. I have naturally curly hair that I blow out daily so rain is not my friend. If only I could look at chic as this. I'll just fantasize about it :) xoxo

What wonderful collections! Those umbrellas are simply divine! My fave has to be the ruffly black one...so edgy and chic! SoCal rarely gets any rain these days so I'd clearly be accessorizing simply for the heck of it :D

Btw, Haute Khuuture just celebrated the 1-year mark and I'm celebrating with a HUGE giveway! Would love to see you stop by when you get a chance!

Happy Tuesday hun!
