You're a Shoo-In for my Valentine!

~ Hello Fabulous Ooh La Frou Frou City Girls! ~

Did you know ...
that, of course, you don't have to live in the city
to be an Ooh La Frou Frou City Girl?
It's merely a chic state of mind, darling!
Ooh La Frou Frou City Girls:
1) love excitement, so they try to make
 each day of their lives an occasion;
2) and they fill their lives with
their favorite things as often as possible!

Romance is one thing that can
certainly
make your day an occasion ...
who doesn't like a little candlelight and dancing?
But these grey days of winter
may be putting a damper on your ability to feel rosy ...
making us feel melancholy ...
as if life exists merely in black and white.

When the sun hides behind grey skies for too long,
we search for more sparkle in our lives ...

|

... with Valentine's Day not too far away,
the perfect anecdote for grey days
could be to plan something fun ...

If you're without a special someone
this Valentine's Day, of COURSE,
make yourself your Valentine ...
and plan a day filled with things that you love to do
and treat yourself to one or more of your favorite things!
Who knows what's on your wish list better than you do?

If you do have a special someone this year,
don't you find that when you plan something
for someone else, it takes you away?
You get wrapped up in planning the adventure
and before you know it, it's sunny again.
We all love a little mystery ... a little suspense ...
so why not plan a splendid surprise?

There is still plenty of time to get in a
Valentine frame of mind ...

If you're inspired,
put your thinking cap on
to dream up a sweet romantic plan for your love ...
I've found a romantic scavenger hunt is always fun to plan
with little clues along the way that
lead to sweet hidden surprises throughout
Valentine's Day ...

... it's also fun to plan something
that really creates an "oasis."
Maybe an indoor "beach picnic" ... in front of a fire ...
gather some music that makes you feel as if you're
under swaying palms, add a soundtrack of ocean waves,
and you'll be transported.
Plan all of the details ...
complete with a picnic basket, blanket &
lots of deliciousness ...

... fortune cookies could be fun ...
how would your fortunes read for your someone? ...
{recipe for fortune cookies here}

The Hostess with the Mostess
offers her ideas for a "Garden of Eden" picnic here.

One important little necessity for your plan
is a Valentine ...
Ooh La Frou Frou's new
Valentine is being introduced today
and is available here.

In my illustration,
a very chic city girl
(you perhaps, darling?),
is wearing a filmy grey skirt with tiny pleats ...
her sleeve and red purse have sparkles ...
(embellished with glitter, of course!)
she's got a sparkly cocktail ring on her
Valentine red gloves ...
and she's holding a Valentine for a special someone.
Her Valentine has a sparkly red heart for a stamp.
The grey swiss dots on her tights lead right to
her shoes ... and, oh, those shoes.
Sky-high red booties are embellished with a
"diamond" bracelet with an illustration of a sparkly heart
around the left boot.
The little "diamonds" on the boot bracelet are actually
sparkly Swarovski crystals.
Pale pink hearts float on the pink background.

Card details:
White envelope, red liner.
Pink paper lines inside of card.
Card and envelope nestled safely inside protective cello wrapper.
You are given the choice of the card being "blank" inside
or with the following message:
"You're a Shoo-In
for my Valentine."

Note:
Definition of "Shoo-In":
1. sure winner;
2. one that has a sure chance of being chosen.

Now, all you have to do is sign it!
Have a wonderful week, lovelies!

The illustration is gorgeous, Sandy! Although I don't celebrate Valentine's Day (do we really need a certain date to celebrate love?), but what i really lie to see on that day is so many more flower bouquets and smiles. Have a wonderful week! xo

The Valentine's card looks fabulous as always! So cute :) I don't feel much for celebrating valentine's day. I'm a romantic but rather see it happen more spontaneously.
