June and The Summer Girl

Hello June!
and
Hello Summer Girls!

I would love to say I've been at the beach
having fabulous fun already ...
but since we purchased a lovely
historical home,  all of my extra time
(when not in the studio)
has been spent working at the house
in order to get some very important things finished
so that we can move in the end of June.
Glamorous things like rolling up my sleeves
and removing grass cloth wallpaper
and fun stuff like that.
Well, the wallpaper's finally down and days
of removing the last tidbits of paper and glue
have me wishing for the beach more than ever!
What have you been up to?
I'd love to hear!

Other than working on the house,
of course, I'm always very busy
 creating custom illustration commissions
for some fabulous clients.
If you're interested in a
custom fashion illustration
for yourself
or your business, blog or website
just drop me a note here.

What else is new with me?
Hmmm ... well,  I also wanted to show you
what I received the mail a few days ago ...
I recently won the fab H&M Giveaway
at Food, Fashion & Flow
and here's what was in the package ...

I love it!
My gift was a gorgeous orange suede-like H&M clutch
and inside the clutch were a few more surprises:
A very sparkly leopard print bangle (so cute), a $50 H&M gift card
and a Starbucks card for a few lattes or frappuccinos!
THANK YOU SO MUCH
H&M and  LV of Food, Fashion & Flow!

~ Now ~
CALLING ALL
SUMMER GIRLS

My Summer Girl illustration
has now been placed on some
 limited-edition blank folded notes

There are twelve notes in a pack and for these,
I couldn't resist adding a little sparkle of glitter
in the sand!
Only $12.95 plus shipping/handling

by clicking the "Add to Cart" button
below the image ...

~ Also ~
Lots and lots of packages have been shipped out
containing the limited-edition notecards
featuring my
I SPEAK CHANEL
and
PRETTY PINK PERFUMES
illustrations.
{They were introduced a few posts ago.}
Well ...
they are still available for a while longer
so if you are interested in ordering these,
simply go the PINK post
and you can order right on that post
by clicking on those "Add to Cart" buttons there.
Both of those note designs are also twelve to a pack.

One of Ooh La Frou Frou's twitter friends,
@MyChicMyWay
tweeted this photo and said that she used
one of her Chanel notecards as a birthday card
to go with a gorgeous bracelet!
Lucky recipient is what I say!

In closing, you may have seen on Twitter that
I was recently honored to be interviewed
by Elements Magazine.
You can read the interview and see several of my
illustrations that were featured here!
Here's a peek at one of the illustrations shown in the article:

She's the lovely Edie Beale ... shown here modeling
pieces from the fall 2010 J Crew Lookbook.
{love her wild hair!}

Love to hear what you've been up to, everyone,
leave me a note and fill me in!
Till next week!

Oh Sandy I saw the Summer Girl illustration on Instagram yesterday as I was laying on the beach thinking how perfect this was! This is so, so my idea of how summer should be. I'm a summer baby, born in July, and such a summer girl in every sense of the word.

So happy that things are coming along for your big move. Hope you're able to relax at the beach in July! :)

Enjoy the week! Oh and congrats on your Elements Magazine honor. Heading on over to check it out now! xoxo

Hi Sandy & Happy June!

Both our blogs are feeling the "Summer Vibe"! Congrats on the H&M gift giveaway, great win. :)

What's new? Busy work days, a busy month of June with lots of family events, birthdays (mine as well) and always squeezing in some time for my favorite bloggers. I'm looking forward to some time off in early July. I have to make it a point to go through your cards and purchase some. :)

Big hugs!

Maria
