Hi girls!
I'm Tiffany.
You see my face often, as I was the very first Ooh La Frou Frou girl
and, as such, became the logo girl for the Collection.
Just scroll up ... yep, that's me standing in front of the mirror.

It's so much fun being a part of the new card line ...
besides posing for very lovely cards,
I also get to spend time with the other Ooh La Frou Frou girls
and we have a blast!
We were just having coffee the other day in the city
and talking about how great it is to be meeting
all of you new Glamorous Girlfriends here on the blog!

For my very first post, I decided to post about:
A Sparkling Star:
Audrey Hepburn
A Sparkling Store:
Tiffany and Company
and how the mere thought of both adds
a little Sparkle to my days.
Audrey Hepburn
One of the things that simply mesmerizes me
is how she took simple and made it fabulous.
Surely, people had worn gloves, sunglasses and pearls before Audrey.
Did anyone tell them they looked like a movie star? I doubt it.
And I ask myself how she did that.
Maybe that's what makes it so magical.
There was just something about Audrey.
She sparkled.
And there's just something about you. And me.
We sparkle.
More on some days than others.
And discovering our own style can be a fun thing.
In the meantime ...
I get so much pleasure from studying
the iconic style that Audrey and Givenchy created
that I sometimes enjoy trying a little of "her" on ... just for fun.
Notice the tiara in the logo?
And for the card below ...
(entitled "Glamour Girls," quite appropriately, don't you think?)
I went full-blast into
Audrey mode from Breakfast at Tiffany's
for a fun shopping trip with the girls.

You know how Manolo Blahnik once said,
"You put high heels on and you change"?
It's true. Fashion is funny that way.
When I slip into items that Audrey was known for,
I actually feel more graceful, more lithe, more sophisticated.
Audrey's Fashion Style Includes:
Large Floppy Hats
Pill Box Hats
Skinny Black Pants
Black Turtlenecks
Capris
Headbands
Headbands
Scarves worn as Headbands and Scarves Around her Neck
Men's Shirts
Ballet Flats
Ballet Flats
Simple Solid-Color Dresses with Full Skirts and Cinched Waists
Button-Up Collared Blouses
Wrist Length White Gloves
(Wedding Gown thrown in just because it's so beautiful!)
Wrist Length White Gloves
(Wedding Gown thrown in just because it's so beautiful!)
And, of course, in honor of Breakfast at Tiffany's:
The Little Black Dress
Over-sized Sunglasses
Pearls
Elbow Length Gloves
and, of course:
the tiara.
The image of femininity and innocence, sophistication and glamour.

Tiffany and Company
Speaking of glamour,
let's move on to my namesake:
Tiffany.
I have a confession to make.
I have a t-h-i-n-g for
Tiffany and Company.
I don't mean that I buy on a whim.
Oh no.
I dream. I peruse. I save. I shop.
It's planned pleasure.
And when I've saved enough to buy the simple treasure
I've been saving for,
I slip on a little black dress
and pearls
and scoop my hair into a french twist with a little whisp of bang
and head off for Tiffany and Company.
I'm all about simple celebrations.

I've discovered that having dreams
and saving to make them come true
is a worthwhile endeavor.
For me ... it's Tiffany.
And as soon as I purchase the little
dream-come-true in a tiffany blue bag
that I've been saving for,
and saving to make them come true
is a worthwhile endeavor.
For me ... it's Tiffany.
And as soon as I purchase the little
dream-come-true in a tiffany blue bag
that I've been saving for,
I start saving again.
The very next day.
You see, it's the little things that give me pleasure.
I'm a simple girl, really.
Just like Audrey.
The thing I'm saving my pennies for now
is a little something from the new
Tiffany Leather Collection.
I just haven't decided which one will be first.

I just haven't decided which one will be first.
But any of these will put a sparkle in my eye.
I'll finish my post with two fun things.
If you haven't read it yet,
be sure to pick up a cute little book called
Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart.
Marjorie was in her 80's when she wrote the book,
and it tells of her adventures in the 1940's,
when she and a girlfriend,
two college girls, went off to the big city
to look for a summer job
and became the first female paiges
at Tiffany and Company.
Utterly charming.
And for a little "Tiffany sparkle" for your home,
I've got a little tip for you!
I've had my dressing table chair
upholstered in tiffany blue and finished
with little "diamond upholstery tacks!"
Are you like me?
Seriously into sparkle?

Thanks for leaving comments, girls! Kiss, Kiss, Tiffany!
So beautifully put together. Audrey Hepburn is truly a fashion inspiration. And I love your reiteration of saving for a pleasure because while it is worth it, it is also a feeling of success due to one's discipline. Lovely post Sandy. :)
Oh Tiffany, just lovely! For my senior prom, I did everything I could to emulate Audrey from Breakfast at Tiffany's. The hair, the tiara (yes, I was one of THOSE girls that wore a tiara to Prom!), the black dress, the GLOVES. I seriously felt more glamorous then than I ever have! You're exactly right--she is the personification of glamour!
A little note from Tiffany to:
The Simply Luxurious Life: Yes, I've found I'd never have life's luxuries if I didn't plan for them! My money would just evaporate into thin air! Poof! Thanks for your little note on my post, Glamorous Girlfriend!
ABC: I love! Do you have prom pictures? What an adorable idea for prom!
Kiss Kiss ~ Tiffany
Miss Tiffany, apologies that it's taken me so long to get over here to comment.
You are simply gorgeous. That's all there is to it! The picture of you in front of Tiffany's is my favorite! You look stunning!
The Bracelet Purse is definitely my favorite- that would be a show-stopper! And I must get my hands on a copy of that book asap! I can't believe I haven't read it already!
Have a beautiful day, my darling Tiffany!!
MUAH! xoxo
Oh thrill and thrill again! More Glamorous Girlfriends are commenting!
Darling Julie: Too bad all of my new friends can't tag along with me when I make my next Tiffany purchase to give me their opinions ... how heavenly would that be? I, too, am leaning toward the bracelet purse ... combining jewelry and a fabulously tiffany blue bag all in one ... too much for WORDS!
Kiss Kiss, Tiffany
I have literally been drooling over Tiffany's leather collection. The purple reversible bag is killing me!
It is hard to get any more stylish and chic than Audrey, isn't it?
Thanks so much for the head's up about Summer at Tiffany! Sounds like a lovely read, and will be finding its way to my bed side table pronto!
So glamorous darling Tiffany!! The bags are simply amazing! I'm looking forward to my next trip to BN to pick up Summer at Tiffany!
To Sparkles N' Sports from Tiffany:
You'll simply love it, darling! It's an easy read, a small book, and it takes you back to a time before we were around, when the Automat was where you had lunch and it was THE CAT'S MEOW to get your slice of pie out of a little machine!
Kiss Kiss, Tiffany
Love Audrey and her classic style. I especially love the large floppy hat, paired with chic sunglasses of course.
I'm thinking of ways to use those diamond upholstery tacks! I *might* spare my husband and use them in my studio. :)
Oh I so adore Audrey! Last week I watched Breakfast at Tiffany's for like the 1,000th time outside in a park. It was perfection :)
A note from Tiffany
Annett M: If you use the upholstery tacks you'll have to leave us a comment and tell all the Glamorous Girlfriends how it turned out!
The Alternative Wife: Yay! Another Audrey lover just like me! I can't tell you how many times I've watched Breakfast at Tiffany's! Don't know if you noticed but in the right sidebar there's a picture of Audrey that links to a video of the beginning of the movie (for when any of us need a quick fix!) xoxo
