Have Yourself a Sparkly Little Christmas

~ Merry Almost Christmas ~
Ooh La Frou Frou City Girls!

~ Before we begin ~
I wanted to let you know that
there will not be a blog post
next Monday, December 26
{the day after Christmas}
and the Monday after that, January 2
{the day after New Year's Day}
so that I can spend this special time with family.
Ooh La Frou Frou's City Girls
 will be back very soon
with an exciting brand new year beginning
Monday, January 9!

So ...
since this is the last post of 2011,
I wanted to say thanks so much
to all of you for a simply wonderful year
and for all of the
Ooh La Frou Frou City Girls cards
 that you've ordered
{they've been shipped all over the world}!
A sincere thanks also for
all of the fabulous comments
about Ooh La Frou Frou
that you leave on
Twitter, Facebook and here on the blog ...
I so love them all!

I hope that Santa Baby brings all of you
every little (and big) thing you wish for!
You're all just fabulous!

Now ...
come with me and let's take one more holiday walk ...
this time, just a short one ...
through the city together ...

It's that glamorous time of year
when the city puts on her sparkly dress
and awaits the snow
that will magically turn into glitter at her feet ...

.

... so it's no surprise
that we feel the desire
to sprinkle a little glitter all over ourselves, as well,
in celebration of this, the sparkliest of seasons ...

All over the city,
the glamorous exteriors of apartments and townhouses
are also dressed and draped in holiday finery ...

... and we can't help but wonder what beauty might lie
beyond the brownstones' doors during the holidays.
I'm sure we would find a little of this:
the fresh smell of pine,
the tinkle of distant laughter,
the clinking of glasses,
the sounds of our favorite Christmas carols
and plenty of sparkle ...

No place sparkles
quite like the city ...
~ any time of the year. ~

In fact ...
there is so much sparkle on any given city night
that it's not even a necessity
to have a special someone
to fall in absolutely in love ... with the city.

Thank you for joining us for
our holiday posts in the city.
Ooh La Frou Frou's
 been featuring fabulous holiday windows
of one New York store on each of these holiday posts.
For this last Ooh La Frou Frou post of the year,
however, I thought I'd close this post instead with two small videos.

The first video is of the amazing 3D video projection show
on the side of the Saks Fifth Avenue buildling that
appears every fifteen minutes each day throughout the holidays ...
it will take you there!

Next ...
if you saw the recent Victoria's Secret Fashion Show,
you know it was full of glamour, glitz and fun.
This second video should send you off with
smiles at the silliness at a few of the
Victoria's Secret models
as they attempt to sing Jingle Bells ...
{a certain amount of silliness is required during the holidays, no?}

In closing ...
TWO MORE HOLIDAY GIFT TAGS
AS A HOLIDAY GIFT TO YOU, DARLINGS!
I'm adding two final gift tags
that you can print off for your holiday gifts!

I've recently illustrated
and made available for FREE
five gift tag designs that can be downloaded and printed and
now there will be two more ...
just because you're fabulous!

These new tags are Paris-inspired tags are in honor of our
Paris-themed posts we did this year
{where we saw four of the illustrated
Ooh La Frou Frou City Girls
depart for a Grande Paris Adventure}.
If you missed those posts and would like to see them,
just go to Aimee's Grande Paris Adventures I, II and III.
What girl doesn't love Paris too?

To print any of the seven free gift-tags:
Just go to our DOWNLOAD PAGE
and once you're there,
scroll down the page until you see a list of seven gift tag names.
You can click on the name of the tag you'd like to see
and they can then be printed off onto cardstock!
Then, simply cut, punch holes in your printed tags for ribbons
 and attach to your gifts
(you can even add a little glamour to them with a touch of glitter)!

The first Parisian-inspired tag is a stack of
macarons in the shape of a
Christmas tree ...
{called "Macaron Christmas Tree" on the download page}

The second Parisian-inspired tag is a
sparkly Eiffel Tower inside a snowglobe ...
{called "Eiffel Tower in Snowglobe" on download page}

Merry Christmas ... {and Joyeux Noel!}
Darlings!
Until January 9, 2012 when we'll be back ...

Lots of Love from
 Ooh La Frou Frou
 and its City Girls!

I loved looking through these pics and seeing all the snow. It never snows in San Francisco and these photos are making me crave a trip to NYC in the winter :) The sparkly snow pics were gorgeous. Also, that Victoria's Secret video is so funny with them singing. Thanks so much for stopping by too :)

Wishing you a Merry Christmas, too! The Saks video is amazing, loved that, and the VS video was a bit embarrassing even to watch! "We don't have jingle bells in Brazil" - great. It must be weird, celebrating Xmas in a bikini?
