Hi everyone!
I hope you had a fabulous weekend!
Speaking of fabulous,
did you know there's a secret language called
"Chanel?"
Oh yes, mmmm-hmmm, there is ...
we may want to study up ...
maybe even major in it.
maybe even major in it.
I'm not sure you'll find a CliffsNotes
on the subject, but don't worry ...
we're featuring a speed-course today
on a few of the ways
that you can speak Chanel right now ...
so sit back, relax and sip your latte ...
or your coco (smile) ...
and listen closely.
Chanel as a language?
Oh, most definitely!
Here's an example:
To say, "I am a woman of mystery, sophistication and taste,"
you need only carry this ...
Need another example?
Okay ... we all know that
some things are just so difficult to say and
sometimes it's just so hard to say no to people.
But no need to worry when faced with this dilemma.
There are no words needed
with the language of Chanel.
For instance,
with this bracelet you can wordlessly say ...
"I would love to help you
toil away in your garden all afternoon, darling,
but I'm afraid my hands are tied!"
I don't know about you,
Wouldn't this be the most perfect dressing room floor?
Sometimes Chanel speaks in whispers.
A spritz of one of these legendary perfumes and
those around you, more than likely,
would hear a whisper that says ...
"Alluring ... mysterious ... sophisticated" ...
All good classrooms
have a movie day occasionally.
(Remember when those days
were our favorite days in school?)
I've mentioned in the past that I believe we create our own
personal play each day ... a play in which
we get to be the star. And doesn't the perfume we wear
help us to create our own fantasy?
No one gets that message across better than
Coco Mademoiselle's Keira Knightley.
I thought you might enjoy these tiny flicks,
if you haven't seen them.
The first video below:
"The Making of Coco Mademoiselle ~ In Her Footsteps"
is a peek behind-the-scenes at the making of
the Chanel advertising campaign film in Paris.
The second video is the actual film itself
"Coco Mademoiselle ~ In Her Footsteps,"
Verrrrry seductive, I must say.
Grab your popcorn and pinot grigio!
So ... do you speak Chanel?
It's such a beautiful language that I thought
it should be celebrated in artwork.

This particular strand of pearls
turns magically into words when you wear them ...
others will swear they've heard you say
others will swear they've heard you say
"I'm the sort of woman you take somewhere special."
I bet the following mademoiselle wants us to know
something about her, don't you think?
If you listen closely, you'll probably hear ...
"I keep what's important to me close to my heart."
If a peek in your closet looks like this ...

you've essentially said:

Wouldn't this be the most perfect dressing room floor?
Of course, we're all familiar with that oh-so-famous Chanel logo ...
but if this floor were in a dressing room,
we'd also clearly hear these "C" words, in Chanel-speak,
floating somewhere in the air ...
"Closet Chic"

the video is dreamy of course. But I really love your illustrations : love their soft colours, they would look great in a boudoir-like room!
Aha! What a fun post! I would sure love to speak Chanel. Certainly one of the most alluring and elegant languages out there. ;) If only the clothes could speak...the stories they'd tell...
