When you're lying about, dreaming ...

... what is it you wish for?
For dresses with sparkly bodices?

... a rose ring for a freshly-manicured finger?

... sweet bites from a secret admirer?

... or a cake made just for you?

... something pink and whisper lighf?
... perfect sunsets to end each day?

... enough flowers in your gardens
to pick the prettiest bouquets everyday?

Dreaming and wishing ...
when I was a child, a teacher told my mom this:
"She's a dreamer."
Indeed I am.

Dreaming helps me to
create the illustrations I create,
to write these posts
and to take you to new places without a plane ticket

But in the midst of dreaming and wishing ...
and planning and creating,
I sometimes have to remind myself to look around me.
To open my eyes and really taste the coffee I'm sipping,
to look at the beauty of the cup I hold with the gold handle.
To really see the sun sparkling in the leaves of the tree
on that very day.
To sit and listen to a friend.
To be now.

My head has been very much into
creating girls in the city for a pretty calendar.
When I'm busy like this,
it's especially important to remind myself to be present.
So when I thought of what to do today's post on,
I thought that this one thought is really ...

Have a wonderful week, lovelies ...
thank you so much for dropping by.
Wishing you a week of dreams and wishes and
seeing all of the magic already all around you.

Bonjour mon ami! You are so right we need our dreams to bring to life all that we wish for. But it is equally important to live in and enjoy the precious moments that are happening. Wishing you a beautiful week..Hugs, C. (HHL)

Darling your posts are always so inspiring. Thank you for this post. I often overload myself with so much busy work that I forget to just be still & reflect on the beauty all around me. I wish you the very best on your creations sweetie. But don't forget to see the beauty in the world. Xo

This is a lovely reminder to appreciate the moment, for that's really all we can be certain of. Dreaming is delicious and fuels our desires, but now is the most important. Have a lovely week gorgeous!

This was such a beautiful post Sandy! I'm a huge dreamer. I think I dream too much. LOL It definitely beats reality. One time my horoscope said, will you get your head out of the clouds for a moment. LOL I'm dreaming about that calendar! LOL

This is such good advice. So often we are busy making plans that we forget to live in the moment. Gorgeous images as usual especially the fabulously glamorous cake. Have a relaxing weekend!
