oh-so-busy time leading up to the holidays
and all of the Ooh La Frou Frou girls
~ like you and me ~
(and the illustrated girls, of course!)
will be busy shopping, shopping, shopping!
During these weeks, each Ooh La Frou Frou post
will be like little drops of holiday city glamour
to glimpse in on ...
and there will also be some
delightful free surprises
from Ooh La Frou Frou
sprinkled in occasionally
~ just for you! ~

So remember to
stop by each week
stop by each week
for the glamorous city girl holiday fun!
This week,
for our little drop of glamour to
for our little drop of glamour to
kick off the new holiday season,
I've placed illustrated city girl
~ Cherie ~
in the fantasy world of a snowglobe
in celebration of this beautiful season
~ and we pose this question ~
If you were in a snowglobe,
real-life Ooh La Frou Frou girl,
real-life Ooh La Frou Frou girl,
what would the snowglobe scene look like?
Where would you be?
What would you be doing?
How would you be dressed?
Details, details, details!
I'd love to hear!
Leave me a comment and let me know!
I also thought it would be fun each week
to take a little peek at some of the gorgeous
holiday decorations in the city.
We all know that there's nothing like the fabulous
New York City windows during holiday time
so this week, let's peek in at
Henri Bendel
and see what their holiday decor looks like
at the New York flagship store.
The theme this year is about all things
~ New York City ~
Such a glamorous Lady Liberty ...
... and Lady Liberty's coat is made of ~ jellybeans!
Very sweet, indeed!
To get a glimpse of the holiday decor inside of the store,
as well as the holiday window design,
I think you'll enjoy this video
brought to us by Henri Bendel ...
I do love Henri Bendel ...
and so do all of the
Ooh La Frou Frou illustrated city girls ...
so let me finish by saying ...
"Ohhhhhh, Henri Bendel ...
if you are ever in need of more
city girl illustrations,
give me a call ...
I'm your city girl!"
P.S.
In closing,
just a reminder that illustrated city girl Cherie,
that appears in the snowglobe above,
also stars on the Ooh La Frou Frou Collection
holiday card entitled,
"Santa Baby" ...
This holiday card,
as well as the new "Christmas in the City" boxed holiday cards ...
are available now!
Till next Monday, darlings,
have a fabulous week!
Oh ... and keep warm because
baby, it's cold outside!

I love this card Sandy and it's EXACTLY what I imagine myself to look like when a mirror isn't near by ... LOL. Happy Holidays to you my friend :)
So lovely Sandy! Henri Bendel is definitely a holiday staple in NYC. I can't wait to visit all the different window displays.
I've been under the weather for a few weeks so I'm slowly getting back to my blogging world. Great to be back! xoxo

Such a beautiful post! I´m enchanted :) If I could land in a snowglobe, it would definitely be in the center of Manhattan! I couldn´t imagine more stylish place!
Can´t wait to see more posts!
Happy Monday!
xx Ivana
Stop by sometimes :)
Style in the City
Layers and Layers: LOL thank you for my first morning laugh over coffee, darling (and the compliment on the card!). You're a fabulous Ooh La Frou Frou girl! xoxo
Ivana: Hi darling Ivana ... you and I both, what more glamorous place than in Manhattan for the hoidays? Is it any surprise that my favorite Christmas song has always been "Silver Bells ... It's Christmas Time in the City"? LOL ;) xoxo
Hello Sandy!
Well that was a quick trip to New York. Really want to visit this city one day. It's one of my dreams. Expecting more posts about the big apple.

What an interesting video. Unbelievable how much work goes into creating those displays - if I'd been involved I wouldn't want the stores to take them down!
Great post Sandy! I love snow globes! In mine I'd probably be in Paris but I wouldn't mind having a second one for New York too! *wink*
Love Doris Day!! Not too cold here yet though, it's 62 degrees today! Have a lovely week sweetie. xx
im hoping it will snow tonight!
Christina: Hi lovely ... you're right, it was a mini-trip to New York! I thought with everyone so very busy during the holidays it would be a good idea to create the posts leading up to the holidays as a little more "Ooh La Frou Frou Lite," , (shorter fun and glamorous holiday posts instead of the usual glamorous post format with stories) for these weeks. There will be fun little drops of glamour in them all! xoxo
Mary Jo at Trust Your Style: Hi Mary Jo ... so glad you liked the snowglobe! I hadn't thought of using it as an e-card with music ... not sure how to do that but it would be worth considering in the future! Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! xoxo
Cafe Bellini: I feel the same way! I've put up elaborate decorations around my door for many years, making large flat ornaments out of wood and painting them and glittering them, etc (like gingerbread cookies or stars, for instance) and I put them on greenery and mix with Christmas balls of varying sizes and lights. They take so much work to plan and put up (especially the year I painted them all in leopard print!) and then the holidays are over and I take them all down. Doing a store would be like creating my door times thousands and thousands and then they take it all down and start planning next year! Amazing, isn't it? xoxo
Margarita Bloom: I'm picturing you in Paris in a snowglobe ... I bet you'd be carrying bags full of Margarita Bloom with the Eiffel Tower in the background, no? It would be fabulous! xoxo
You betcha I would be! Gorgeous Hot Pink and Red striped bags brimming with beauty potions! *wink*
Oh, how I love the glamorous lives led by your girls!!! What a fun idea to pretend to be in a snow globe! Love Bendels, and Barneys and BG - funny, they all start with Bs! I was in the city just before they unveiled the windows, but i'll be back there next weekend and can't wait to see them all up close!!
Happy Holidays, Sandy!
xoxo Elizabeth
Lovely! If I were in a snowglobe I'd be sitting in front of a mirrored vanity filled with gorg stuff, parfums, makeup, jewels, powder puffs, champagne! And a window to the side of me would have the Eiffel tower in the backdrop! Heaven! xo
I am so excited about being in NYC this year for the build up to Christmas - I moved here on Dec 28th so I missed out on all this before! I think if I lived in a snowglobe it would be on the corner of fifth avenue where The Plaza stands, looking out to all the activity in the part, the shopping along 5th, and the delights of the Plaza Hotel too. Secretly I am longing for a bit more snow this year again :-))

Pretty Pink Tulips: So happy that you'll have the chance to be back in the city to see the windows ... such a magical, magical time ... now I wonder if NYC will soon have the snow to go along with it these snowglobe dreams? Hmmmm ... Have fun! xoxo
Taj Acosta: Taj, I can just see that snowglobe and how totally glamorous that would be! Sounds beautiful and so you! xoxo
Style on the Couch: The perfect place to be ... that's exactly where I would be too ... such an iconic part of the city! As each girl tells me where she'd be, it's so fun envisioning the scenes ... they're all so magical! I see the wind gently blowing your hair and your scarf lifting in the wind ;) xoxo
I saw your illustrations on pinterest and I couldn't stop staring! You're so talented!! And on a side note those widows are to die for!

OMG Sandy! My dream is to see NY at Christmas. I've visited many wonderful places at Christmas, but I don't think anywhere does Christmas like the Americans. It's on my wish-list. Maybe the frou-frou girls will keep their gorgeous, manicured fingers crossed for me. The Christmas card is stunning; to beautiful to send to anyone ;-)
My first visit...your blog is absolutely gorgeous, so colourful, fun and girly.
The snow globe is amazing, Sandy! I couldn't be happier about your idea to share Christmas window displays, can't get enough of those. I hope you're having a wonderful week! xo

Fashionista 622: So sorry to hear that you've been under the weather lately, darling. That's certainly no fun at any time, let alone the holiday season, but glad to hear you're on the road to recovery and will soon be visiting all of the magical windows! Hope your holiday season is joyful!
Fashion-isha: Hi sweetie ... yes, I joined Pinterest some time ago but my schedule is so busy I'd hardly had time to put anything on it and caught up with kind of a binge of illustrations that I put on! I love these windows too ... in fact, I love everything about Henri Bendel!
Vanessa at Luxuria: I so hope you get to see the New York windows at some point. I love New York at all times of the year. I'm such a summer girl that I even love it in summer when it's very hot in New York! Autumn in New York is simply delicious and during the holidays pure magic happens! I hope your holidays in Spain are lovely too. Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment on the card, darling Vanessa ... it's one of my favorites too! ;) xoxo
