Pastel Days and Powdered Sugar Dreams

Summer sweetness is in full bloom ...

Soft scented mornings spent sipping cafe au lait al fresco;
a crisp croissant with its dusting of white sugar melting on our tongues;
sheer summer party dresses meant for swaying in the moonlight;
long, lazy sunshine days that fade into pastel sunsets ...
that's summer.

Just stopping by to wish all of you a very pretty week ...
if you live in the states like me, I hope your
Fourth of July celebrations were delightful!
Mine was a delectable mixture of being surrounded by
family and friends that I love,
laughter and food and sparkling explosions in the air.
And following a very busy day on the fourth,
three days to relax and stretch out on the beach
or read on the porch with my feet up.
Hope yours was just as delightful!

And, now on to a brand new week,
given to us like a gift ...
it's time to pull the bow
and see what it holds!
I'd love for you to fill me in on what you've been up to ...
I always love to hear!
Thanks for taking the time from your busy schedule
to stop by to see me ... always such a pleasure.

Until next time, wonderfuls!

Hi Sandy, your beautiful writing and stunningly inspiring images always transport me into a world of fantasy. Sounds like you had the most mazing and memorable 4th of July celebrations. Our winter has been quite mild so far, hope it stays this way. I was completely awestruck that you hand illustrated everything, wow, your talents are truly magnificent, I am so impressed by your skill and creativity.

You always find the prettiest images for your posts! Your 4th of July sounds like it was delightful and jam packed with fun activities Sandy! It must be so awesome that the parade goes right by your house. Hope you've been able to relax a little after that.

Thanks for dropping by! I'm enjoying summer but I wish it wasn't so humid in NYC. I think we need a good rainshower to clear the air. Otherwise all is great!

Hope you're having a lovely week and staying cool sweet lady!
