Glamorous Review of Ooh La Frou Frou Girl Violet ... Close Up!

Hello Lovelies!
Happy Monday from Ooh La Frou Frou!
We've been taking a close-up look at the eight illustrated girls
that star in this fun and glamorous card line ...
and the subject of our Glamorous Review this week is ...

So far in our
Glamorous Reviews
we've seen the city apartments of
six of the eight girls ...

HOPE lives in an luxe apartment building named
"The City Girl" ... complete with a white-gloved doorman!
***
TIFFANY's sweet townhouse with tiffany blue shutters and door
looks like Holly Golightly's ... but even prettier!
***
CHERIE has an ultra-chic apartment in the luxurious St. Regis Hotel.
Who knew they had residences there!
***
AIMEE lives in a gorgeous french-inspired limestone townhouse
near Central Park with a
glossy black arched door.
***
BELLE has a lovely townhouse full of charm
with a pink awning and flowers ... and we learned there's a
private walled garden
out back we haven't seen yet...
***
SUNNY has sleek, modern oh-so-luscious digs at The Mark!

Two more girls to go!
Let's take a look at Violet ...
What do we know about her?
Hmmmmmmm ...
well, so far she has starred in these Ooh La Frou Frou Collection cards:

... she has chestnut hair and green eyes ...
... and like many of you, she is passionate about interior design ...
Violet would be the girl trying to fit a BIG chandelier

into a taxi to whisk it home
just because she couldn't bear to leave it behind.
She's the friend all the girls go to
for decorating advice ...
don't we all love friends like that?

Violet would love the
the whimsical Spring/Summer catwalk couture details
by designer Mary Katrantzou, with fun trompe loeil scenes of
interiors such as lampshades and curtains ...
some of the models even wore necklaces resembling sconces!

Like all of the girls, Violet loves the city.
She's adores rooftops.
And I know she's not the only one ...

Let's take a brief look back at Violet's previous posts ...
in a post called "Violet and the City"
we learned that she loves the excitement of the city ...
yes, that's Violet in the pink jacket ...

and she loves the gorgeous city architecture ...
here she is in yellow just like those gorgeous umbrellas ....

In a post called "Snowflakes, PJ's and Glamour"
Violet threw a glamorous holiday PJ party
for the girls ... we watched as she had this invite
hand-delivered to them along with some fancy PJ's and instructions
to wear them to the party ...
and on the night of the party,
all of the girls were whisked away complete with
their overnight bag and PJ's
and delivered to Violet's apartment ...

... the party held lots of treats, including
facials, mani's and pedi's' for all!

In a post called "A Glamorous New Year"
we learned that Violet's New Year's resolution
was to plan her summer outdoor parties ...
before summer!
She's been reading up ...

Violet is quite the designing and entertaining girl.

In the fantasy world of Ooh La Frou Frou,
a girl that loves design and entertaining
as much as Violet does
deserves a jewelbox of an apartment,
don't you think?

Well, Ooh La Frou Frou has given her one!
She lives in a 25-story luxury apartment building.
And as I did with the six previous
Glamorous Reviews,
I've done a quick rough sketch ...

This is Violet's pretty jewelbox ...
this penthouse apartment is the 25th floor
of a lovely fantasy historic apartment building called "25."
It has a slate roof and green weathered copper details.
You can see two french doors that open
onto her private terrace!

Below the pretty penthouse
are 24 more floors including the lobby.
This is the very quick rough sketch of the lobby entrance ...

Since we're talking about penthouses and rooftops,
isn't it interesting that you can walk the glamorous streets of the city
and not even be aware of the beauty and life high atop the buildings?
Most of us would never get the chance to see one of these diamonds
sparkling atop the beautiful architecture.
But that's why we have the the fantasy world of
Ooh La Frou Frou ...
let's take a tour of some!
You ready?

This isn't a penthouse, but it reminds me of one ...
It's Hermes New York ... isn't it pretty?

Come with me ... let's dream ....
The four Charles de Vaivre photos directly above from the book "New York Rooftop Gardens" via

Skyloft Penthouse in Tribeca sits atop the 14th floor ...

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's Chelsea penthouse
in Manhattan has an en suite Sky Garage ...
a car elevator that will let them take their car to the 6th floor ...
Two photos directly above via

Penthouse Boutique Apartment at 385 West 12th ...

A residential terrace on the 76th floor of the Time Warner Center ...
can you imagine?

If you were walking around on the street, would you be thinking of looking up?

15 Broadstreet Condominiums

15 Broadstreet Condominiums ... feel like curling up with a book on a rooftop?

And in New York,
if you find yourself weary, there are always
all of the many rooftop restaurants and bars in the city ...
this is the stylish rooftop bar at a boutique hotel ... 60 Thompson ...

Speaking of rooftop restaurants,
may I introduce the fourth glamorous notecard
in our brand new
"Summer City Girls"
Boxed Notecard Collection!
In this card,
Alex, Hope and Violet
are enjoying a cosmopolitan
"up on the roof!"
Alex is touching up her lipstick while Hope checks out the menu ...
And don't they look stylish?
Alex and Violet are in their sleek pink dresses
and Hope is all dressed up in a frothy black tulle skirt.

The fourth notecard "Up On The Roof" and its corresponding envelope!
The Boxed Collection of
"Summer City Girls"
consists of 12 blank notecards, three each of four designs.
Each design has its own coordinating envelope liner.
The notecards are embellished with touches of
glitter or crystals
and they are available as of today!
To celebrate our first boxed notes,
the first ten orders of
"Summer City Girls"
will receive a little something "extra"
in their package!
To order, simply go here!

To celebrate our fabulous
"Up On The Roof"
fourth notecard,
I'll send you off with a little tune ..
Thanks, everyone, for joining us today
for our Violet Glamorous Review
and the launch of our first boxed notecards!

Hi Sandy,
Yes, I noticed your answers.
Something too, that is nice about your blog,
the gracious answers, to all your lovely blog readers, no doubt it takes a lot of your time.So I understand if you don't answer too. (I don't have a blog or anything).
Where do I begin,
to say how gorgeous Violet's post is!
The beautiful music at the end! Thank you!
"The Mark" video that someone thought was your work, (in Sandy's post)
all I can say is,
no I did not think it was yours because yours is so much better & you pay more attention to detail.
If any hotel out there wants "brilliant", than ask Sandy is all I can say.
Thank you for sharing your talent.
